UI/ UX design is one of the fast-rising fields in the tech world. Gone are the days when most companies developed products without good UI and UX. UI and UX design are usually used interwoven even though they have different meanings and functions. In this article, we would be discussing the difference between UI and UX design,

What is UX?

UX literally means User Experience. Have you ever been to a website and you are confused about what actions to take or confused on how to carry out why you visited the site because there was too much-scatted information and you were not familiar with most of the icons? If yes, we can say you(user) had a bad Experience which means the UX designer did a bad job

It is the work of a UX designer to ensure that users have a good experience while using the product. Is the product useful, does it solve the needs of the targeted users, is it easy to use, is the consumer journey easy, is the user flow direct or complex, these are the work of a UX designer.

In summary, UX designers make a product useful and useable. They are more concerned with giving users a good experience while using the product. They are tasked with making sure the product is easy to use.

What Is UI

UI stands for User Interface. Have you ever stumbled on a website and for a second you did not leave because your eyes were pleased with the design you saw so you took a second to scan the site? If yes, we can say that the website has a good interface.

A UI designer designs the interface of a product. They bring the ideas of a UX designer to live. They are more concerned with the graphics of the product by making sure the colors match, the typology is good, elements are properly aligned, and the right icons are used. They make the product appealing to the eyes.

A good UI designer makes everything needed by users easily accessible, you do not have to search to see the action buttons.
